A Story of Columbus & the Jewish Community – as Told through Green Lawn Cemetery 

This talk & slideshow will be presented on two dates:

– Tuesday, October 3 at 7 PM – at the Bexley Library, 2411 E. Main St. Bexley, and

– Thursday, October 19 at 11 AM – at Congregation Beth Tikvah, 6121 Olentangy River Road, Worthington

Both events are open to the public.

Green Lawn Cemetery – – the second largest cemetery in Ohio – – is a place of natural beauty and outstanding architectural monuments. It also the burial place of many Columbus historical figures – – including many folks from the Jewish community. This presentation will highlight the beauty of Green Lawn and share the history of many historical figures in the Columbus and Jewish communities. David Binkovitz, a Columbus Landmarks Foundation educator and member of The Columbus Jewish Historical Society, will tell the story about Green Lawn Cemetery through words and pictures.
